Julian Green (GM) was assisting his staff in keeping a chain of spreadsheets linked together as long as a giant squid's arm, to manage large volumes of custom orders for manufactured steel tube precision cut into specified lengths. When you're cutting up to 15000 pieces per day it gets hard to keep track and consistently deliver.

To date the project has delivered accuracy, better control, greater planning throughput, reduced staff time on administration, improved quality of customer service and adherence to delivery dates.

This is our longest running iterative development project to date and it's still going because there are still features to deliver that clearly have a solid business case.
